If you're looking for a day out with the kids and feel like you've pretty much covered everything off your list...how about something a bit different?
New for 2021 we are hiring out 2 x seater sit on top kayaks (these are super sturdy and brilliant for beginners) on the Kinver Canal, near Stourbridge, offering families the chance to get on the water together as a family- an ideal kayak trip for children and beginners. This activity is suitable for children age 5+ with an adult accompanying them.
Starting at The Vine pub in Kinver (we're based in the carpark), we'll meet you and get you kitted up in your buoyancy aid and talk you through everything you need to know. Then we'll take you down to the canal and help you on the water and away you go.
You and your family will then enjoy a relaxing kayak trip down to the first lock and back (around 2.8km round trip, taking approx 60-90 minutes).

Most families end up at The Vine pub for some food and drinks afterwards. They serve a great family friendly menu with woodfired pizzas served in the canalside garden.
Kinver is a beautiful village in Staffordshire, located just 5 minutes away from Stourbridge by car. Kinver is home to Kinver Edge, a walker's paradise offering 300 acres of National Trust land to explore as well as the River Stour that runs through the village.
